Neale was born in 1963 in Melbourne, Australia, and started self-publishing in 1988 under the monicker “Beautiful Artform.” He has published sixteen comics to date, and has appeared in anthologies in Australia, Canada, Europe and the U.S. He is also an animator, and teaches classes in cartooning. His artwork has been exhibited in galleries in Australia, Canada and Europe. Neale is currently working on two books, one a compilation of past work, and one of new material. He illustrated two of Bierce’s fables in his unique style in Graphic Classics: Ambrose Bierce, another fable in Graphic Classics: Robert Louis Stevenson, and his vision of Dracula in Graphic Classics: Bram Stoker.
