MARK DANCEY

Mark Dancey was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1963. For no good reason, Mark co-founded the satirical and highly influential Motorbooty Magazine in the late 1980s and filled its pages with his comics and illustrations. As a member of rock band Big Chief during the 1990s he got a lock on the position of band propagandist and subsequently produced all manner of CD covers, T-shirt designs, backdrops and posters for that outfit. Having extricated himself from the world of rock, Mark now lives in Detroit, where he produces painstaking works in oil and prints silk-screened posters under the aegis of his company, Illuminado.us.
