LEONG WAN KOK Leong Wan Kok, known to Malaysian comic readers as Puyuh, was born in Malaysia in the year of the rabbit. He now lives in Kuala Lumpur. Leong has been active in the comics industry in Malaysia since 2002, when he was invited to represent his country in the “Asia in Comics” festival in Tokyo. Poe’s “The Oval Portrait” in Gothic Classics, was his first work published in the U.S., and his adaptation of Lovecraft’s “The Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath” appears in Fantasy Classics. In December 2006, his book of illustrations and comics, Astro Cityzen, was released in Malaysia. “This is a project that has taken seven months of my time and is my labor of love,” says Leong.
