MARK A. NELSON Mark Nelson was a professor of art at Northern Illinois University for twenty years. From 1998 to 2004 he was a senior artist at Raven Software, doing conceptual work, painting digital skins and creating textures for computer games. Mark is now the lead instructor of the Animation Department of Madison Area Technical College in Madison, Wisconsin. His comics credits include Blood and Shadows for DC, Aliens for Dark Horse Comics, and Feud for Marvel. He has worked for numerous publishers, and his art is represented in Spectrum #4, 5, 6, 8, 10 and his art collections From Pencils to Inks: The Art of Mark A. Nelson (2004) and Strange Thoughts and Random Images (2008). Mark’s comics and illustrations have appeared in Graphic Classics: H.P. Lovecraft, Graphic Classics: Jack London, Graphic Classics: Ambrose Bierce, Graphic Classics: Bram Stoker, Graphic Classics: O. Henry, Horror Classics, Fantasy Classics, Rosebud 18 and The Best of Rosebud, all from Eureka Productions.
