GEORGE SEARS

For over twenty years George has been doing illustrations and comics for children’s magazines, including Jack & Jill, Enid Blyton Mystery Magazine, and Blue Moon Magazine. He has also done illustrations and cartoons
for numerous businesses, organizations, and adult publications and a syndicated comic strip called Senator Boondoggle. He had collaborated with writer Tim Quinn on several children’s magazine projects before creating with him a pair of Sherlock Holmes adaptations, The Speckled Band & The Blue Carbuncle, and The Hound of the Baskervilles. The story appearing here in Graphic Classics: Arthur Conan Doyle
is an abridged version of the hard-to-find book published in Britain by Collins Lions in 1991. George is an avid reader of Golden Age British detective stories, and boasts a collection of over 3000 hardback mysteries.
