KENT STEINE

Kent Steine is a classically trained illustrator who has been painting pretty girls for over twenty years. He began his career producing advertising and editorial illustration and did cover art for over fifty periodicals. His first major exposure as a glamour artist came in 1992 with the creation of his Hollywood Glamour limited edition prints, produced by Siabur Graphics. These contemporary images helped reestablish an interest in classic pinup and glamour art. Kent’s pinup illustrations have appeared in numerous magazines, and have been published in the form of prints, lithographs, posters, trading cards and calendars. As an author, Steine has written The J.C. Leyendecker Collection and Billy DeVorss Pinup. He was a contributing writer to Step-By-Step Graphics and now to Illustration magazine. His portrait of H.G. Wells appears in Graphic Classics: H.G. Wells. Kent is currently working on a series of images for a promotional campaign with fitness expert Cyndi Targosz.

Kent is now working on a cover painting of Sherlock Holmes for the second edition of Graphic Classics: Arthur Conan Doyle. More of his art can be seen at www.kentsteine.com.
