RICH TOMMASO Atlanta resident Rich Tomasso grew up in what he calls “one of the dullest parts of the New Jersey suburban-lands.” He became a student at The Joe Kubert Art School, but quit after his first year, never being interested in a career drawing superheroes, and instead spent many years making pizza while trying to find more personal things to write and draw about. He says he has been “struggling to do a decent comic for over ten years, and after eight years at it, my recent works, Perverso and 8 1/2 Ghosts, make me sometimes think I just may accomplish this feat some day.” His work (much more “decent” than Rich admits) has appeared in collections from Fantagraphics, Dark Horse, Top Shelf and Alternative Comics.
