WILLIAM L. BROWN

Political cartoonist and illustrator William L. Brown is the author of President Bill, A Graphic Epic. He currently draws Citizen Bill, a syndicated cartoon. His illustration clients include The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, Slate online magazine, The Los Angeles Times and The Progressive. He works in scratchboard, digitally adding color and grey tones. He cites as influences William Morris, John Held, Jr., and the British cartoonist Giles. Bill lives in Takoma Park, Maryland, a suburb of Washington, D.C., with his wife and two children. Bill contributed a fable adaptation to Graphic Classics: Ambrose Bierce and A Curious Pleasure Excursion to Graphic Classics: Mark Twain.
